April Flowers Bring May Showers?

It appears Texas has things a little backwards...We enjoyed the most beautiful weather in April - temperature in the 70's to the 90's - and gorgeous wildflowers blooming on all the hills. But May began yesterday and the past two days have been nasty, rainy, and cold! I'm talking in the 40's people. Yuck! Hopefully our summer weather comes back real soon.

On a better note, the ladies at our church threw Carter a baby shower yesterday afternoon :) We have been so blessed with three showers - one in Florida, one with my seminary girlfriends, and now one with the women at our new church home. Everything was decorated so cute, from the precious diaper cake to wrapping tissue flowers to a banner with Carter's name on it. We are so fortunate to have such a supporting church family and were blown away with their generosity yesterday! We're getting closer and closer to having all we need to welcome this little guy into the world...

And the best news of all (well, not really but right now it feels like it), I turned in my last paper and took my last exam of the semester today! It feels so good and I'm so excited to enter full-scale baby mode. Nesting, here I come!
