It's Been One Yuck Of A Week...

I really can't complain too much, but while I have an outlet, why not? haha. It is the last week of the semester and I think we have papers and exams coming out of our ears! I'm finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, but it's still pretty dim. I've finished most of my projects due this week (two 8-page book reviews, a 5 page reflection paper, and a 15 page evaluation paper) but still have a 15-30 page Greek exegetical paper (how fun does that sound?) and two exams. Yikes! But God is good and I know he will grant me the sanity and endurance to make it through (hopefully while pleasing him with my efforts).

On another note, I've gotten sick for the first time in my pregnancy :( Nothing major but really wish it could have hit me at a different time. I never experienced morning sickness (outside of three weeks of nausea, but nothing major), heartburn, or even the slightest runny nose. God truly protected me and this baby, especially during flu and cold season! I was nervous working around middle schoolers and all their germs as I tutored but God answered our prayers and kept us healthy. I've just had some cold type thing the last few days (stuffy nose, sore throat, achy head, ears, and joints) but I'm' feeling better and really am thankful for how well I've been these last eight months.

On a happy note, after a rough week at school, I get to enjoy some wonderful church fellowship this weekend! Throughout the year we have had 'secret sisters.' We drew names in October of another lady in the church and have been secretly giving her notes and gifts ever since. On Saturday we are having a brunch to find out our 'sister's' identity. I am so thankful for the Women's Ministry at our church and have gleaned so much from the relationships I am building with ladies from all stages of life :) On Sunday we are having a potluck immediately following our contemporary service and then at 2, the ladies of the church are throwing me a baby shower! Nick and I feel so blessed to have found a church home out here who loves and cares for us so much.

  1. Praise the Lord for good health. I'm so proud of you for eating purposefully well during your P.G. That's going to pay off gianormously as Carter enjoys the benefits of being as healthy as possible!!! And you and Nick will have peace of lesser illnesses, etc. As well as fewer medically related expenditures :0)
