2. SNAC stands for Sidney, Nick, Amber and Carter (yes, we treat our dog as part of the family...)
Today I had my 33 week appointment. Carter is head down and weighing in around 5 pounds. He is still a big boy but the doctor has assured us his rate of growth has slowed down (thank goodness). Everything else checked out great - his heart rate, my blood pressure, etc. - and the doctor keeps telling us everything with me and the baby is perfect. Now those are words I like to hear! Nick is so supportive - he has been to every appointment with me and is so accommodating to my pregnant body and its needs. I'm so lucky to have such a caring and uplifting husband :) I'm still feeling great and have really enjoyed being pregnant. My walk is turning into a waddle, my belly is growing and growing, and I'm starting to periodically feel some tightening in my uterus. Carter is still an active little booger, and even though I sometimes think he has his feet lodged between my ribs, I love feeling him squirm around in there. It is so crazy to think how close he is to making his debut! I don't feel prepared yet (though I'm not sure I ever fully will) but am thankful to have the month of May off from school to try and get everything ready.
My friends Danielle Barker and Miryam Allison threw me a baby shower last Sunday. I had such a great time with my Fort Worth girlfriends and am so blessed by their friendships. Here are some pictures from our time together:
