Gender Reveal

The afternoon of the ultrasound, I baked cupcakes for a fun gender reveal with Carter.  I filled them with pink icing and covered them in both blue and pink.  We explained to him that he would bite in and if the middle was pink, he was having a sister, and if it was blue, he was having a brother.  Well, when I let him choose a cupcake, he selected one covered in blue frosting thinking he could 'pick' if it was a boy or a girl, haha.  We explained again, and when he bit into it we asked what the pink frosting meant, and he said, "It's a girl!"  Since then, he hasn't stopped hugging and kissing his baby "seester" in mommy's belly :)
Since Carter is speaking so much more in both languages (and hasn't quite grasped the concept of a secret yet), we knew we needed to make our announcement public somewhat soon.  The next day, I posted a picture of two bottles of paint on Facebook, having our friends and family guess if it was a boy or a girl:
Although we had some boy guesses, the overwhelming response was that Baby Sroka #3 was a girl.  Later that day, we posted these pictures to confirm everyone's suspicions:
I'm so excited, and though I LOVE my little boy world of dinosaurs, pirates, and trucks, I am definitely looking forward to some ruffles, bows, and princesses as well  <3
