5 Years With My Love

It's so crazy to say that today is our five year wedding anniversary!  I mean, when did I become old enough to have a kid, to have finished graduate school, and to say I've been married for five years?!  All I know is I am unbelievably blessed to call Nick my husband and for fun, I thought I would list five reasons I love him :)

1. HE PROVIDES
He works 35 hours a week while taking a full load of classes and never complains.  He is so responsible and I feel I never have to worry because he always has everything under control.  He takes care of all our finances - bills, bank, insurance - and I don't know what I would do without him! Not only does he provide monetarily, but he provides with his service.  He does dishes, he vacuums, he cooks, he does yard work, he fixes any little thing that breaks.  He is so handy and I absolutely love it!

2.  HE MAKES ME LAUGH
He's a funny guy. Period. End of story.  From his dancing in the kitchen to his singing down the hall, he's a goof.  He gets me and he knows how to make me smile.  He may seem like the quiet reserved type...but don't let him fool you! He's a perfect ham and he's perfectly mine :)

3.  HE IS THE BEST DAD
I didn't know my love for Nick could grow, but it certainly has now that he has become a father.  I cannot explain the adoration he has in his eyes when he looks at our sweet baby boy.  He looks forward to coming home to Carter, playing with him, tickling him, and helping me with all our daily tasks - feeding, bathing, changing, diapering.  I'm so grateful I have a husband who dives right in with helping care for our baby rather than avoiding diaper changes and tears.

4.  HE IS GOOD LOOKIN'
Um hello, my hubby is attractive.

5.  HE IS A FAITHFUL FOLLOWER OF CHRIST
We are getting ready to embark on a new journey of serving the Lord in Brazil.  I am so fortunate to be in a marriage relationship with a Christian man who is seeking to fill the Lord's calling in his life.  I trust Nick to be the head of our household as prescribed in Scripture, as I know he will love me as Christ loves the church.
