Quick Update

Heyo! We had another appointment this morning. Our doctor is still out of town but her nurse/midwife was filling in. I am now 4 cm and she said everything looks good to go except for the fact that my uterus isn't contracting yet...She also told us that Carter has a head full of hair! (the fact that she could feel his head tells you how low he is in my belly...) She was hopeful he would come on his own this weekend but just in case he doesn't, she had us make a Monday morning appointment with our doctor. Not an induction date (although it was offered again) but just another checkup to make sure everything is still looking good and he's safe to stay put as long as he would like. Some promising news we received is that the first four centimeters are most often the most difficult part of labor and since I'm already there, it should be a farily smooth process (as smooth as birthing a baby can be, haha). I'll keep you posted...
