Carter is our tenderhearted kid. He is creative and kind and makes us so proud. He is doing wonderfully in both his national school and homeschool and loves studying science (and would prefer to forget about math, haha). This past year he played futsal at school and had started soccer before the pandemic struck. He also participated in a circus class and gave a cute performance for that in December. He likes to play with the girls at school and it honestly melts my heart to hear the little girls' mamas telling me how much their daughters enjoy Carter. He's really grown in his faith this past year and even took upon himself to begin teaching his friends Bible stories during their recess time at school. He's talked about being a pastor or a missionary but also loves the idea of marine biology, so we'll just have to see where life leads him ;) Carter began speech therapy at the end of 2019 via Skype and has already 'gradauted' from the program.
On Carter's actual birthday, June 4, the kids had online school assignments, but we were still able to celebrate with his favorite meals - chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast, paninis for lunch, and broccoli cheese soup and pineapple souffle for supper - and presents, of course ;)
Since Oliver's Zoom party went so well, Carter decided he would like to celebrate in the same fashion. So the Saturday after his birthday, we loaded up the car and delivered goodie bags and cupcakes to his friends all over our city (would you believe it took over 3 hours to deliver them all?!). Then that evening we had a Roblox themed Zoom party complete wtih a scavenger hunt, a quiz about Carter, and Roblox bingo. His friends sung happy birthday and then we had a family movie night (watching Carter's choice of a Pokemon movie, of course) and McDonald's delivery (so much for originality, haha).
