The SNAC Pack: Carter is 8!

Somehow - I guess I must have blinked - I am now a mommy to an EIGHT year old (not so) little boy! Our Carter bug is growing up and it is so hard to believe how much time has already passed with him in our family.

This boy truly impresses me with his love for his family and friends, his ability to slip in and out of Portuguese/English depending on who he's speaking with (oftentimes, in the same conversation!), his depth of emotions (this is both a blessing and a struggle), and his goofiness. I'm so proud that Carter is doing well in both his Brazilian and American schooling and love that he's open to trying new things (like the tennis classes he's started up recently). This year he's been all about sharks, soccer, his best friend Emanuel, reading, legos, and "screens" (this includes movies, apps, and video games). And the most exciting thing that happened this year is that Carter decided to ask Jesus to be his Lord and Savior in July! It has been such a blessing to watch him grow in his faith and his knowledge of the Bible.

We were able to celebrate Carter's birthday by going out to eat cheeseburgers with friends and then with a shark party at school. He is one loved little boy!
