Funny Story

We were told a funny story in the village recently that I just have to share. D is one of the believers and the mom of the family we study the Word with.  She is also one of our very best friends.  A few weeks ago she told us that initially (last year) she did not want us coming and sharing Bible stories at her house.  She said her husband told her she had to sit there, but she didn't participate and didn't enjoy her time with us.  She said that every week, even though we were there during lunch time, she wouldn't cook for us or offer us food (it's very rare not to feed guests in their culture) with the hope that we would get the hint and stop coming, haha.  She jokes that we were very persistent, but she is thankful for that because her heart began to soften to the Truth and now she has a relationship with our Creator.  She said it's also encouraging to her, as she is facing opposition from others in her village.  "Just like Nick and Amber wouldn't stop coming and telling me the truth, even though I didn't welcome them, I'm not going to stop sharing with others."
