Everything has been going great at my doctor appointments. As of my lest checkup, I still hadn't gained any weight, woop woop, although my belly surely is growing. My doctor is a little concerned that I have a heart murmur (that's a new development) and wants me to get checked out by a cardiologist before delivery, but there's no big worry about anything. We've been able to have four sonograms already and it is such a joy to see our little guy every time :)

I am pumped to say I seem to be over my morning sickness!!! There's still a moment every now and then, but the all day persistent nausea is gone and I haven't thrown up in a month! (well, aside from a stupid stomach bug...) I had about 4 weeks of having a headache each day but thankfully that has disappeared as well :) Now I just have leg cramps during the night and frequent bathroom trips, but I'll take these over the first trimester obstacles any day!As far as our timeline, we have a tentative move date of March 10. That will be a 3 day car trip to our new city (at 7 months pregnant) but we're thinking about stretching it out a little longer to do some sightseeing along the way and have less car time each day. That will give us just about 2 months to find a new doctor and check out the hospitals in our new town to see if we're comfortable having the baby there or if we think we need to travel to a bigger city for the delivery.
I'm 19 weeks today - can you believe it?!

Congratulations Amber!!!

ReplyDeleteDoes Nick read these comments? Hey Nicholas, oxoxoxo - Be sure to read this please.
ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not, K+, is 1 of the bodies electrolytes that effects the heart. Reading about your leg cramps presents possibility of low potassium - especially b/c it is always so hot there & your VB - you loose K+ via perspiration!!! That's why I always fed you bananas at your vb tourneys :) I'm emailing you a WebMD article with murmur content. That's the site Dr. Perry sends us to whenever we want health info. Are you eating any bananas? Raisins, baked potatoes? Taking your multi vit w/ minerals daily ... Watch this slideshow - http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/20/potassium-foods-banana_n_1898078.html Praying and in faith, believing your murmur is "innocent". No cause for alarm. Remember I was born with one. At the same time, acting responsible is imperative. Even if it just means ... an antibiotic regimen before dental cleanings, etc. If it's gestational HBP that can be easily remedied and should be. Continue to exercise but don't over due it, stress wise - you are pregnant - REST and take good care of yourself now so you get to enjoy the wonderful benefits of good health for a long time to come - Yes, this is a prerecorded announcement from your mother :) Love you baby!!!
