holy moly, this is embarrassing...i knew it would get harder to keep this thing updated as carter got bigger, school got more demanding, and work started back but this is a little ridiculous...sorry!
here is a quick catch-up on what our life was like in november!
i did my first craft fair with my friend miryam! i've been making jewelry and accessories and thought this could be a good way to sell them/advertise. well, it was a good experience, haha. i didn't know how successful i would be at the fair so i ended up making WAY too much stuff, thus completely stressing me out the few weeks before the show. i sold $80 worth of jewelry which was good, but because i had purchased so many materials to make everything, it was really only a $7 profit for the day...but on the bright side, i got my name out there, didn't lose any money, had a bunch of things pre-made to sell for christmas, and even got a few special orders :)

surprisingly, i had a bunch of christmas orders! i was very grateful for this and the money really helped to offset the cost of christmas gifts and travel :) here's one of the gift sets i made:

our good friend kari tower came over and took some family pictures for us. she got so many awesome shots and we were able to use some for our christmas card. here are some of my favorites:

november wrapped up the intramural volleyball league at seminary...our team won for the third year in a row! this year nick and i played with our friends mauricio and rob.

a new chick-fil-a opened by our house (wahoo!) and we participated in the 'first 100.' for those of you who don't know what this is, before the opening of a new chick-fil-a you can arrive at their location the morning before by 6 am. you receive a raffle ticket and at 6am they do a drawing. if your number is called, you fill out some paperwork, set up camp (literally, a tent), and have to stay on the premises for the next 24 hours. if you do so, you win chick-fil-a for a year! (52 combo meal vouchers). well, nick's number got drawn but carter and i stayed with him until 7 that night (we would have spent the night but the temperature dropped to the 30s and we didn't think carter should sleep outside in that. nick came home the next morning with about $300 in meal vouchers and we have been enjoying chick-fil-a almost weekly ever since :)

sharon and steve came to visit for thanksgiving. we love having our family visit out here! we spent the week relaxing (forgetting about school) and cooking up a delicious thanksgiving feast!

and here's an update on what all carter was up to this month:
-he got his first two teeth, the bottom middles (within three days of each other!)
-he is rolling over like crazy! doing so in his sleep and preferring to stay on his belly (this is a TOTAL 180)
-he ate baby food veggies! he started with sweet peas and moved on to squash
love this guy!
