My parents, Pat and Emily (or Pappy and Emmie as Carter refers to them), came to visit last week. They were here for eight days and we tried to cram a whole lot of fun into just a little bit of time. We showed them what daily tasks like grocery shopping and bank trips look like as well as fun things like dinner out and a night at the indoor play park for Carter. They were able to go to church with us on Sunday and even to a big event Carter's school was putting on. (Carter's class did a skit, but when I got there early to drop him off, his teachers told me he wasn't in it since he was one of the younger students...Would have been nice to know that ahead of time but it was still fun to see his classmates all dressed up.) Carter is at such a fun age to play and play he did! He was a whirlwind running around with Emmie and Pappy and was truly spoiled by all the attention he received this past week. (Now to see if he can adjust back to normal, haha). They brought us lots of goodies from the U.S. and lots of sweet gifts from many of you! The airport is in the capital city of Maceió, a beach town, so we headed there a few days before their flight and were able to stay at a hotel with a mini waterpark. There couldn't be anything more exciting for a three year old! We spent those evenings at the nice mall in town, the straw market, and seaside restaurants. We had a wonderful time with them and now, here are some pictures :)
